Наследственная болезнь, н. заболевание — патология, нарушение нормального развития и функционирования организма, отдельных его органов и систем, обусловленное наличием у особи генных или хромосомных мутаций. У человека различают следующие Н. б.:а) с полным проявлением мутации (хромосомные и некоторые генные) — синдром Дауна, гемофилия, фенилкетонурия и др.;б) с неполным, зависящим от условий среды проявлением мутаций — некоторые формы диабета, подагра и др.;в) Н. б., возникающие вследствие реализации наследственной предрасположенности (не мутации) к ним при действии определенных внешних факторов, — аллергия, атеросклероз, рахит и т. д. Среди Н. б. человека выделяют также моногенные и полигенные (мультифакторные), а среди моногенных — с разными типами наследования: аутосомно-доминантные, аутосомно-рецессивные, сцепленные с полом доминантные и рецессивные.
